A CLOSER LOOK INTO LONDON FASHION WEEK

La London Fashion Week si è aperta con Vogue World un evento benefico a sostegno delle realtà artistiche della città, una vera celebrazione della cultura del teatro londinese, nella suggestiva location del Drury Lane Theatre, storico teatro della città. C’erano davvero tutti, celebrity, attrici e modelle come Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Adwoa Aboah, Ashley Graham e Paloma Elsesser, Sienna Miller e FKA Twigs.

Dal minimalismo contemporaneo alla applicazioni preziose, capi femminili, eleganti, ma anche romantici con richiami al passato.Rose, fiori elementi ricorrenti in diverse collezioni, come quella di Simone Rocha. La sfilata, intitolata “Dress Rehearsal” è stata presentata nella sala prove dell’English National Ballet, il designer trasforma i fiori in volute tessili che si avvolgono sul corpo, tutto impreziosito da perle e macramé, fiocchi.

Il romanticismo floreale travolge anche David Koma, l’ispirazione proviene dall’immagine della giovane Elisabetta II su una motocicletta durante il suo servizio militare negli anni Quaranta, e si traduce nella collezione con una serie di dress e mini dress che riportano riferimenti alla rosa inglese, fiore simbolo per eccellenza del Regno Unito. Stampe floreali, elementi decorativi mixati con il mondo bikers. La palette di colori spazia dai verdi agli arancioni, ai rosa e ai lilla, completata con i colori neutri, bianco e nero.

KNWLS, invece, omaggia i centauri harleysti con i loro chopper e i riferimenti metal e hard rock. Pelle, bandane, stivali cuissards e stringhe, con richiami al country. Una femminilità pericolosa e sensuale, per la presenza della lingerie e della corsetteria, segno distintivo della designer Charlotte Knowles, tra body in lycra sgambatissimi e top guêpière fascianti. Chiude la sfilata Mia Khalifa, Tik Tok star, ex attrice pornografica, ora figura mediatica, impegnata anche per sostenere diverse cause sociali e politiche.

L’irlandese Jonathan Anderson, presenta una collezione surreale in cui i capi che sembrano modellati nella plastilina per ritrovare l’affiliato giocoso di sempre. JW Anderson ha utilizzato la plastichine, l’argilla da modellare inventata da William Harbutt nel 1897, Anderson ha scoperto che la Plasticine viene ancora prodotta nell’Irlanda del Nord, il luogo della sua nascita, e ha “giocato” per stupire ancora una volta con proporzioni e percezioni ottiche.
