Inventate da Paul Sperry negli anni ’30, le boat shoes sono state concepite per potersi muovere senza scivolare sulle barche da vela. Appassionato velista Sperry, portando a passeggio il suo cane Prince sulle strade innevate ha l’intuizione vincente, poichè le zampe del suo amato Cocker Spaniel procedevano senza intoppi, grazie alla loro struttura solcata, invento’ la suola a spina di pesce in gomma.
Fù la prima scarpa anti-scivolo nella storia della navigazione, una rivoluzione per tutto il mondo dello yachting, poi arrivano in Europa e conquistano tutti, tra i modelli più famosi, sicuramente l’iconica Timberland in cuoio con la suola in gomma.
Ma come indossarle?
Si portano tutti i giorni dall’ufficio all’aperitivo con i jeans, un blazer in combo con una semplice T-Shirt bianca o con camicia dal taglio maschile.
Perfette sotto gli abiti, da indossare con calzini bianchi o colorati, stile preppy.
Si abbinano bene con gonne e bluse stampa floreale, dal mood romantico e pastelloso.

But how to wear them?
They are worn every day from the office to the aperitif with jeans, a blazer combined with a simple white T-Shirt or with a masculine-cut shirt.
