Un ritorno al minimalismo, un richiamo all’equilibrio la collezione SpringSummer 2022 di Off-White intitolata “Sticks and Stones”.
L’eclettico designer Virgil Abloh, prematuramente scomparso lo scorso 28 Novembre, da sempre spirito irrequieto, libero dalle etichette e da vincoli, ha voluto lanciare un messaggio chiaro con questa collezione: “Sento che il mondo è profondamente cambiato“.
Ha sentito il bisogno di fare un passo indietro al tempo in cui studiava architettura e tutto era semplice, essenziale e lineare: un richiamo al design geometrico, alle linee pulite, composizioni e volumi che esprimono una identità culturale e sociale.
Capi dal taglio sartoriale con grandi anelli circolari ricamati su tasche, ispirati da Meccano, il sistema di costruzione del modello progettato dall’inventore inglese Frank Hornby, tanto amato da Abloh durante i suoi studi di architettura.
I cerchi come meteore che scavano buchi sui capi della collezione. che appare più matura e consapevole. Costruzioni leggere e minimali introducono un nuovo linguaggio stilistico in fatto di layering e tagli, una nuova purezza, un nuovo codice!

The circles like meteors digging holes in the garments of the collection which appears more mature and aware. Lightweight and minimal constructions introduce a new stylistic language in terms of layering and cuts, a new purity, a new code!
