Dopo la settimana di New York, si è appena conclusa la London Fashion Week FW 2023/2024, durante la quale sono andati in scena le più grandi Maison inglesi.
La settimana è stata preceduta dalla commemorazione il 16 febbraio nella cattedrale di Southwark, della designer inglese Vivienne Westwod, recentemente scomparsa, alla presenza di tantissime celeb e star, del mondo della moda, del cinema, della musica e dell’arte.
Tutti gli occhi puntati su Moncler che porta il progetto Genius a Londra, con l’evento live The Art of Genius, una piattaforma di co-creazione che abbraccia diverse sfere creative. Tra i nuovi co-creatori, ci sono Pharrell Williams, Palm Angels e Jay-Z.
Ospiti dell’evento Pharrell Williams, Hailey Bieber, la Top Model Bianca Balti, la cantante Alicia Keys, che ha anche collaborato alle collezioni Genius 2023, si è esibita in uno show che ha infiammato il pubblico e il designer Rick Owwns in compagnia di Michèle Lamy.
In passerella sul catwalk londinese sfilano, quest’anno tanti nuovi talenti, accanto ai stilisti della moda british come J.W. Anderson, Erdem, Simone Rocha e Burberry.
La collezione di JW Anderson è un omaggio al ballerino e coreografo scozzese Michael Clark; un inno alla libertà di espressione e di genere, fuori da schemi e dai tabù. In front row, in prima fila, tante celebrity da Romeo Beckham, Mia Regan, Naomi Campbell e Alexa Chung.
Simone Rocha celebra la festa gaelica del raccolto, chiamata “Lughnasadh” che ricorre ogni primo di agosto, tra rose e fiocchi adagiati sotto agli occhi come se fossero lacrime, pizzi, ricami, cristalli e perle. Rafia per accessori e abiti, il grano diventa quasi il materiale della collezione, un mix di texture e materiali diversi.
La collezione FW 23/24 di David Koma ruota intorno al concetto di glamour, un omaggio alla leggendaria attrice tedesco-americana Marlene Dietrich, musa ispiratrice di una estetica femminile e raffinata. Koma gioca sulle asimmetrie di top, abiti e gonne; protagonisti anche capi intricati con fiori in pelle verniciata, tagliati a mano e collegati insieme ad anelli, l’approccio couture si unisce al prêt-à-porter.

After the week in New York, the London Fashion Week FW 2023/2024 has just ended, during which the biggest English Maisons took to the stage.

Simone Rocha celebrates the Gaelic harvest festival, called “Lughnasadh” which occurs every first of August, among roses and bows placed under the eyes as if they were tears, lace, embroideries, crystals and pearls . Raffia for accessories and clothes, wheat almost becomes the material of the collection, a mix of different textures and materials.
The David Koma FW 23/24 collection revolves around the concept of glamour, a tribute to the legendary German-American actress Marlene Dietrich, the inspiring muse of a feminine and refined aesthetic. Koma plays on the asymmetries of tops, dresses and skirts; protagonists also intricate garments with flowers in patent leather, cut by hand and connected together with rings, the couture approach joins the prêt-à-porter.
