Dopo New York è il turno di Londra, dove si è tenuta una fashion week all’insegna del rinnovamento, accanto ai ex enfant prodige della scena londinese, nuove leve si affacciano all’orizzonte dando una sferzata di novità.
Grande assente il brand londinese Burberry, il cui direttore creativo Riccardo Tisci ha posticipato la sfilata ai primi di marzo, fuori calendario. Stesso discorso anche per Victoria Beckham che non ha sfilato in questa fashion week.
Per fortuna nuovi designers emergenti hanno tenuto testa a questa edizione, una nuova generazione di talenti creativi, come Richard Quinn, Molly Goddard, David Koma, Richard Malone, Stephen Jones, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, TOGA, Rejina Pyo, Roksanda, Erdem, l’irriverente Matty Bovan e l’irlandese Simone Rocha.
La LFW si propone come una fashion week ibrida, tra online e offline; un format analogo a quello della scorsa stagione.
Raf Simons è andato in scena tramite una presentazione digitale, segnando un cambio di marcia per il brand che, dopo il cupo e minimalista show primaverile dello scorso settembre a Parigi, è tornato con una collezione eclettica ricca di materiali nuovi come il vinile e tessuti lucidi, le silhouette goticheggianti si ispirano ai dipinti di Pieter Brugel con i Proverbi Fiamminghi.
Occhi puntati sul marchio londinese KNWLS che si è fatto conoscere grazie ai suoi bustier, che nel corso delle stagioni si sono evoluti diventando sensuali bodysuit, top con cut out e bralette strutturate; seguendo la suggestione della designer Charlotte Knowles, che ha reinterpretato questi capi «per le donne che devono lottare per il loro posto nel mondo».
Body sgamabati e giarrettiere gioiello per David Koma, tanto glitter e glamour in versione sportiva.
Molte le star e celebrità avvistate sulla front row, nel suo outfit barocco FKA Twigs perfetta per lo show di Simone Rocha.
L’immancabile Anna Wintour in blazer di pelle blu e maxi gonna coloratissima.
Ma la più fotografata (persino dal figlio Romeo su Instagram dall’altro lato della passerella) è stata Victoria Beckham, immortalata accanto alla magnifica Jourdan Dunn alla sfilata di Supriya Lele, elegantissima in tailleur pantalone nero e pumps bianche.
